With a packed gym, the Windsor Knights (24-4, 10-0) captured a spot in the FINAL FOUR of the GISA AA State Championship with a 70-55 win over the Grace Christian Academy Cougars from Bainbridge, GA. The Knights advance to play the Dawson Street Christian School Wildcats from Newnan, GA on Friday, March 6 at 2:30 PM at Hawkins Arena on the campus of Macon’s Mercer University. All Windsor students will be dismissed at Noon on Friday to attend the game. See you there!
The Windsor Knights (23-4, 10-0) captured a spot in the Elite 8 of the GISA AA State Championship with a 92-64 win over the Solid Rock Academy Lions from Fayetteville, GA. The Knights advance to play the Grace Christian Academy Cougars on Saturday, Feb 28 at 4:30 PM at Windsor. Grace knocked out Memorial Day in the earlier contest.
The Windsor Knights (22-4, 10-0) captured the GISA Region 4AA Championship with a 67-50 win over Monsignor Donovan Catholic High School (MDCHS) of Athens. It was Windsor’s first Boys Region Basketball championship in 35 years. Windsor advanced to the final by beating Brentwood 59-26. Congrats to Coach Michael Johnson on winning the Region 4AA Coach of the Year for the second year in a row! Congrats also to Assistant Coaches John Carden, Sam Shortz, and Jamie Stephenson. We appreciate our stat personnel including Tucker Yearwood and Tyler Malakius. We also appreciate managers Kalen Whiting, Travis Cumbie with scorekeeper Lyndon Carden. Victor Collier, 40, of Cumming, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Victor was born in Norton, VA. He graduated from Windsor Academy (Class of 1993) in Macon and went on to attend Harvard University in Cambridge, MA. Victor was the owner and project manager for Collier Consulting Solutions, which provides services to the banking industry.
Survivors include his loving wife Deidra Collier of Cumming; daughter, Ramsey Collier; son, Lawson Collier; parents, Donald and Kaye Collier of Jasper; maternal grandmother, Faye Lawson of Norton, VA, and other loving relatives and friends.

Senior Dylan Bass was the 2015 GISA state runner-up for the 113 weight class at the State Wrestling Meet held at Georgia Southwestern in Americus. Brent James captured 5th place in the 106 weight class. Kevin Bandt was 4th place in the 126 weight class. Other Windsor finalists: Cameron Kilgore was 5th in the 138 weight class, Cody Bird was 5th in the 160 weight class and William Owenby was 5th in the 182 weight class. Congrats!
The Windsor Knights (20-4, 8-0) remained undefeated in GISA Region 4AA with a 92-72 win against Piedmont Academy in Monticello. Galen Munford had 14 points while Antonio McKinney and Scott Albert added 13 points each. The Lady Cougars slipped past the Lady Knights (4-20, 0-8) by the score of 50-44. Kassidy Hulett scored 17 points and Kaley Sadler added 16 points.
The Windsor Knights (19-3, 7-0) secured 1st place for the GISA Region 4AA tourney with a 69-62 comeback win against Monsignor Donovan Catholic High School in Athens. Marquise Jackson and Antonio McKinney led with 19 and 16 points in the game. Landry Rustin added 14 points. The Lady Knights (4-18, 0-7) lost 69-28 to the MDCHS Lady Rams. Kassidy Hulett had 10 points and Kaley Sadler added 8 points.
The Windsor Knights (18-3, 6-0) beat Brentwood 76-47 at Windsor on Senior Night. Seniors Antonio McKinney and Scott Albert led with 14 and 11 points in the game. Senior Austin Thomas added 10 points. The Lady Knights (4-17, 0-6) lost to the Brentwood Lady Eagles 73-38. Haley Sadler had 17 points and Kelsey Gilliam added 7 points.
The Windsor Knights (17-3, 5-0) beat Citizen’s Christian Academy (CCA) by the score of 105-39 at Windsor. Marquise Jackson and Antonio McKinney led with 20 and 15 points in the game. Josh Brooks and Austin Thomas added 11 and 10 points respectively. Other scorers: Munford 8, Bass 8, Albert 6, Kilgore 6, Osborn 6, Daniels 4, Rustin 4, Leslie 3, Whiting 2, Collins 2. The Windsor basketball scoring record remains at 109 under Coach Grady Pittman when the 1979-1980 2AA Region Champion Knights beat Brentwood 109-69. That record setting team was led by Greg Smith and Marlon Marchman. The Lady Knights (4-16, 0-5) lost to the Citizen’s Christian Lady Patriots 65-44. Skye McKinney led with 13 points and Kassidy Hulett had 12 points. Lauren O’Quinn added 10 points.
