Windsor’s 2015 STAR Student: Amber Storm Murray

Senior Amber Storm Murray was selected as Windsor’s 2015 PAGE STAR student. Storm chose High School Psychology/Sociology teacher and Windsor Headmaster Dr. John C. Cranford as her STAR teacher. To obtain the STAR nomination, high school seniors must have the highest score on a single test date on the three-part SAT and be in the top 10% or top 10 students of their class based on grade point average. Congratulations!


HISTORIC KNIGHT: JACKSON’S LATE SHOT LIFTS WINDSOR TO STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!

With a packed Hawkins Arena on the campus of Macon’s Mercer University, the Windsor Knights (26-4, 10-0) captured the GISA AA State Championship with a 48-46 win over their GISA 4AA rival Monsignor Donovan Catholic High School Rams in the GISA AA Championship at Mercer on Saturday, March 7th. The win was Windsor’s first boys basketball state championship in school history and the most wins in a single season. Marquise Jackson hit a basket with 1.8 seconds left to secure the win. Congrats to Coach Michael Johnson and the Knights!

Windsor reached the final with a 68-51 win over the Dawson Street Christian School Wildcats from Newnan, GA.  Dylan Bass led the way with 13 points. Antonio McKinney and Marquise Jackson each had 12. Galen Munford and Scott Albert added 10 and eight points respectively.
