Windsor Golf Team Places 4th in State AA; 3rd in Region 4AA

The Windsor Golf team finished 4th in the 2015 GISA ‘AA’ State Golf Tournament with a total of 372 at Hawks Point in Vidalia. Bubba Aber finished with an 84 and made the 2015 GISA All-State team. Bailey Goode at 91 was the Girl’s low medalist. Other team scores: Mike Daniels 97, Spencer Douglas 100, and Evan Sapp 129. Briarwood won the tourney with a total of 348.

The team finished 3rd in Region 4AA at the Twin City Country Club in Tennile, GA. Congrats to Coach Michael Bush and the team!

Back to Back to Back! Windsor’s Jason Aldean Takes Top Male Vocalist

-Jason Williams Aldean (Class of 1995) has won the Top Male Vocalist Award by the Academy of Country Music (ACM) for the third (2013-2015) straight year. Trisha Yearwood presented the award to Aldean as part of the ACM’s 50th Anniversary. He also performed during the CBS Network telecast. Congrats to Jason!


Bass, Jackson, McKinney Make All-Middle GA Basketball Team

The Telegraph selected Windsor’s Dylan Bass, Marquise Jackson, and Antonio McKinney as honorable mentions on the 2015 All-Middle GA Basketball Team. Congrats!


Madison O’Neal Signs for Basketball at Truett-McConnell

Madison O’Neal signed a national letter of intent to play basketball with Truett McConnell University this fall.  Madison was a top scorer for the Lady Knights basketball team and was a member of the 2014 State Champion Windsor Lady Knights Fast-pitch softball team. Madison is a second generation Windsor student. Congrats!


WINDSOR STUDENTS STOP FACULTY/ALUMNI 79-73

Windsor Varsity 2015 Basketball team members beat the Windsor Faculty/Alumni team by the score of 79-73. Senior Michael Daniels hit two 3 pointers in the final seconds for the win. Scott Albert had two slam dunks and Antonio McKinney added one slam dunk. Other Varsity team members included Madison O’Neal, Haley Sadler, Galen Munford,  and Brennan Collins.

Faculty/Alumni Team members included Coach Michael Johnson, Stephanie Swain, John Carden, Dusty James, Ryan Smith, Bo Giles, Jonathan (JB) Brooks, Ryan Bowden, Kayla Aber, Stephanie Rocquemore, Trey Morse, Kaylyn O’Quinn, and Parker Henderson.

All proceeds will go toward the Windsor Civitan scholarship.
