TEEN VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR: WINDSOR’S CHANNING GUEST

Lance Channing Guest Jr won the ‘Teen Volunteer of the Year’ award from the Middle Ga Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals on November 12, 2015. Proud parents are Beth and Lance C. Guest and sister Holley. The Guest’s are thankful for the outstanding example and leadership of Mrs. Sharon Aleta Cornacchione. She and Janae Matthews took Channing under their wing and made all the difference in his life. Knights have a gift for giving! Congrats!


Windsor Students Reach Out at Thanksgiving

Windsor Academy’s Jr. Civitan Club food drive collected and delivered over 4,000 cans of food to the Macon Outreach Center at Mulberry UMC. The Windsor Lady Knights Bible study group also served meals to the homeless. Making a Difference in Macon!

 

 


GISA AA FOOTBALL: WINDSOR’S GREAT SEASON ENDS

Windsor’s trip to a state title was stopped by Robert Toombs 57-26 in the Final Four of the GISA ‘AA’ State Football Playoffs. Windsor closed the season at 9-4 and 2-1. Congrats to the athletes and coaches for a great season! We will miss our Seniors Tavis (Big T) Malakius, Josh Brooks, Evan Sapp, Cody Bird, LB Jones, and Robert DeLong. Josh Brooks finished his high school career with a record-breaking 4,000+ yards rushing.

Last week, the Knights shocked No. 1 Piedmont 66-32 in the 2nd Round of the GISA ‘AA’ State Football playoffs at Cougar Field in Monticello. Windsor stopped the First Presbyterian Christian Academy (FPCA) Highlanders 58-22 in the 1st Round. Windsor held off the Robert Toombs Crusaders 44-43 in Lyons, GA to end the regular season. RTCA failed on a 2-point conversion with a minute left in the game. Before shutting out Monsignor Donovan by the score of 64-0 at Windsor, the team lost 42-14 to the Briarwood Bucs in Warrenton, GA. Region play began when Junior Marquise Jackson had six carries for 185 yards and three touchdowns for a GISA Region 4AA win over Brentwood 50-7. Senior Josh Brooks added three touchdowns and Junior Jonathon Osborn added a touchdown. Windsor also beat Griffin Christian 68-0.

 


Jackson, Osborn, Jones, Brooks Dominate Recognitions!

The Knights (9-3) racked up 580 yards of total offense against No.1 Piedmont for a 66-32 win. The Telegraph Sunday Morning Quarterback Game Ball recognitions went to the following Knights:

Marquise Jackson accounted for six touchdowns — running for three, passing for two, catching one and returning an interception for another.

Jonathan Osborn completed 7-of-13 passes for 201 yards and three touchdowns, ran for 94 yards and a touchdown on nine carries, recorded eight tackles and forced two fumbles.

LB Jones caught five passes for 87 yards and three touchdowns and picked up a pair of two-point conversions.

Josh Brooks ran for 121 yards on 12 carries and caught four passes for 32 yards.
