Smart board technology was added to three Windsor Academy classrooms in September 2012. The Smart board’s interactive whiteboard allows the teacher to improve student learning by combining the whiteboard with the power of a computer. The classrooms equipped with the Smart board technology are Mrs. Shepherd’s 1st grade classroom, Mrs. Sumner’s middle school math classroom, and Mrs. Bentley’s high school science classroom.
Two New Technology Labs were added in September 2011 and September 2013 with 40 computers, software, and furniture in the main building to bring all Windsor students into the future and to enhance our SAIS/SACS accreditation status. High School students can take Computer I and Computer II courses in the new lab. English, Social Studies, Journalism, and Science classes may also use the labs during allotted times.
Middle School students will have an Exploratory Computer class and Elementary students will have computer classes as well. We have completed wireless Internet access throughout the campus with a vision for supporting notepads in the future.
