Jason Williams Aldean, Class of 1995, performed as a Favorite Country Artist nominee at the 2013 People's Choice Award show on Wednesday, Jan 9th on the CBS Network. Jason also rocked the Reaves Arena in October with a sold-out concert at the Georgia National Fair. Jason mentioned Windsor during his concert. He completed 2008 tour dates as the opening act for Tim McGraw.
Jason performed "Johnny Cash" at the 2007 Academy of Country Music Awards in Nashville on the ABC Network. Taylor Swift took home the Horizon Award trophy for Best New Artist against Aldean, Rodney Atkins, Little Big Town, and Kellie Pickler. Aldean has just released a new video "Laughed Until We Cried." Jason's albums include 2005's Jason Aldean and 2007's Relentless, which have been certified platinum and gold, respectively with the independent label Broken Bow Records. CONGRATULATIONS to Jason Aldean and his wife, Jessica, on the birth of their second daughter, Kendyl, on Monday, August 20th, 2007.
According to the CMT website, Jason’s second album, Relentless, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard country chart, and sold more than 98,000 copies in its first week. The album features "Johnny Cash" and also “Grown Woman,” a duet with country star Miranda Lambert.
Jason performed on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and at the CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock.
The recording artist and writer received the award for Top New Male Vocalist at the 2006 Academy of Country Music Awards (CMA). He also actively supports the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation to honor one of his friends who died from the disease. He will be touring with Rascal Flatts during the 2007 summer and fall season.
