Windsor Academy’s Knights track and field program placed 2nd in GISA State 4×400 for 2013 and 2012. Members were Greg Thomas, Antonio McKinney, Josh Dittman and Dylan Barecky in 2013 and Kyle Gilbert, Ethan Duffey, Dylan Barecky, and Kaleb Fuller in 2012. The Lady Knights placed 5th with members Kassidy Hulett, Susie Gibson, Hannah Fisher, and Sierra Rocquemore in 2013. Susie Gibson and Dylan Barecky both placed 3rd in the GISA State 200 Meter and 400 Meter contests respectively in 2013. Barecky placed 3rd again in 2012 and Susie Gibson 5th in 2012 400 Meter Relays. Jake Coursey finished 5th in the Long Jump for 2012.
The Knights placed 1st (45.82) in the GISA State 400 Meter Relay in 2009.
Ronnie Jackson placed 1st in the 100 Meter Dash and the 200 Meter Dash in 2004.
Melissa Methven took 1st in the 400 Meter Dash in 2001.
Paige Hencley placed 1st in the 200 Meter Dash (27.30) and 400 Meter Dash in 1998.
Laney West took 1st place in the Long Jump in 1995 and the Triple Jump in 1993 thru 1995.
Other notables: Aimee Jackson for the 800 Meter Dash and Robbie McGreggor for the 400 Meter Dash in 1994; Ryan Reeves for the 100 Meter Dash in 1992 and Laney West for the 400 Meter Dash in 1992 thru 1995; Lady Knights took the 1600 Meter in 1991 with Melissa West for the 30 Meter Hurdles in 1991, Aimilee Martin for the Shot Put and Discus in 1990, and Misty Dyes for the 30 Meter and 110 Meter Hurdles in 1990. In 1979, Roger Heath won both the 100 yards dash and 220 yards dash state championships. Greg Smith, also won the 1979 high jump state championship while setting a state record of 6’3″. In 1980, Greg Smith again won the high jump state championship while setting a new state record of 6’6″.
