2018 MEST Scholarship @ Robins Financial

Robins Financial Credit Union is now accepting applications for their 22nd annual Most Excellent Senior Team Scholarship. This scholarship is open to High School Seniors who plan to attend a university, college, or technical school in the fall. A 1-year, $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to several recipients.  Application requirements at:

Congratulations to Bubba Aber who led all golfers in Thursday’s match with Briarwood with a low score of 77. GO GOLFING KNIGHTS!
Congratulations to our HS Chess Team on winning the AA Chess competition Thursday in Atlanta.  GO MATCH POINT KNIGHTS!


 Ethan Harpe of Windsor Academy was honored as one of Bibb County’s STAR Students, and he chose Mrs. Ashley Bentley as his STAR TEACHER. They were recognized at a banquet at Middle Georgia State University in Macon.

The Student Teacher Achievement Recognition program, an initiative of the Professional Association of Georgia Educators, is mostly based on the highest two-part SAT score in a single sitting from a student at one of Bibb County’s public and private high schools. There also is a class-ranking requirement. Each school winner selected his or her STAR teacher. Congrats!

College Readiness Class for Juniors

Juniors will be switching to College Readiness for the 2nd semester on Tuesday, Jan 17. All students in College Readiness will need to purchase the book entitled “The Official ACT Prep Guide 2016-2017” (ISBN#978-1-119-22541-6) put out by the makers of the ACT.  You can either purchase this book on your own, or turn in a check for $22 by Friday, January 20th and we can order a copy for you.

Windsor Welcomes New Students; Wins @ Academic Bowl

Happy New Year!  We are excited to be starting this year with 6 new students to Windsor:  Pippa Tilley (5th grade), Karsyn Middlebrooks (5th grade), Micah Durham (6th grade), Yasmine Durham (8th grade), Alexis Rowe (10th grade) and Robert Coleman (11th grade).

Congratulations to our Middle School Academic Team on winning 3 matches at Saturday’s Academic Bowl at Feagin Mill Middle School in Warner Robins.



Skye McKinney was selected as Windsor’s 2016 Homecoming Queen! 1st Runner-up was  Savannah Thorne and 2nd Runner-up was Marissa Gatto. Jonathan Osborn was chosen Top Knight!


John W. Welch, Headmaster, has taught, coached, and worked in administration in both private and public school systems.  He has his BS and Masters in Education and Specialist certification in Administration.  Mr. Welch is very happy to be our new headmaster and has many ideas to improve our school.   His door is always open.  Please stop by and see him if you have any questions or concerns or suggestions.

Robbie Kinard will be our new middle school science, Chemistry and Physical science teacher. He graduated from Georgia College and State University and also received his AP certification in Chemistry and Biology from the University of Georgia.  Mr. Kinard has taught in both public and private school systems as well as coached and received awards in GISA soccer.

Joseph Embro will be teaching Spanish and French as well as middle school reading.  Mr. Embro received his BA in English and French from Wofford College and his MA in French and Literature from the University of Kentucky.  Mr. Embro has taught and coached football and wrestling at both private and public schools over the past 23 years.

Shanna Rowland will be teaching third grade.  Mrs. Rowland graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education from Georgia College and State University and has her Masters of Science in Early Childhood Education from Fort Valley State University. Mrs. Rowland has taught in the Peach County school system as well as home schooled her own 5 children.

Barbara Brown will be our new middle school English teacher.  Ms. Brown is coming to Windsor from Porter Elementary so many of our families already know her and are excited to have her at our school.  She graduated with a Bachelors of Science (BS)-Grades 1-6/ Minor in English and Social Studies (University of Arkansas) and a Masters of Education (M.Ed) in Math and Science Grades 4-8 (Wesleyan College). Ms. Brown is very excited about all aspects of Windsor and getting to know the faculty and staff, but most of all to meet, teach and know the students!


Windsor’s Beta Club Outreach To Uganda

The Windsor Beta Club collected 77 pairs of jeans for  They cut out fabric for 70 pairs of shoes and donated an additional 25 pairs of jeans.  The shoes will be sent to Uganda and distributed to children, many of whom have never owned shoes.  Thank you to those that donated to this project!
