The Windsor Academy Shooting Team traveled to the Palmetto Shooting Complex in Edgefield, South Carolina. They represented Windsor, the GISA, and Georgia by competing in the 2017 Southeastern Youth Clay Target Combine. Shooting against the top varsity student-athletes from Mississippi, South Carolina, and Georgia. Windsor came home with a lot of gold! The squad of Kevin Bandt, Alexis Eidson, and Andrew Weiche took the top honor of Tri-State Champion with a score of 277/300. Alexis took Ladies HOA with a score of 92/100 winning a new shotgun. Andrew Weiche took Male HOA with a score of 93/100 winning a new shotgun. Andrew also won combine HOA with Kevin third and Alexis forth. The second Windsor squad of Seth Blasingame, Drake Byrd, and Matthew Yearwood came in a strong 13th place out of 48 teams. We are very proud of these athletes. We have new champions at Windsor Academy!
C-team soccer players accomplished a MAJOR feat. Shelby Bandt scored a double hat trick! Unheard of – she scored 6 goals (1 goal assisted by Allie Battle, 2 goals assisted by Lily Kilgore and 1 goal assisted by Amber Sweat and 2 unassisted) Late in the game Kaylee Higdon popped in a goal with an assist from Shelby Bandt. CFCA went down with a frown – 7-2 – GO LADY KNIGHTS!

The No. 1 Windsor Knights (Region 9-1) captured the 2017 GISA ‘4AA’ Region Championship after beating the Briarwood Bucs 17-0 and the Thomas Jefferson Jags 9-3. The team also beat the Covenant Rams 14-1.
Landry Rustin pitched the Knights to a 10-4 win over the Brentwood School Eagles! Tyler Christian pitched the Knights to a 7-5 win over the defending GISA ‘AA’ State Champion Piedmont Cougars. The team also beat Westside High School (GHSA) 20-1.
Congratulations to Walker Hudson, the REGION TENNIS CHAMPION! Walker won region in singles tennis. He beat Brentwood School in the championship match with a score of 6-2, 6-0. He will be competing in the GISA state playoffs starting this coming Monday in Macon @ JDS (John Drew Tennis Center). GO KNIGHTS!
Windsor’s Jason Aldean (Class of 1995) took home the 52nd Academy of Country Music (ACM) ceremony’s biggest award — Entertainer of the Year — for the second year in a row. Congrats!

The Student Teacher Achievement Recognition program, an initiative of the Professional Association of Georgia Educators, is mostly based on the highest two-part SAT score in a single sitting from a student at one of Bibb County’s public and private high schools. There also is a class-ranking requirement. Each school winner selected his or her STAR teacher. Congrats!

The No.1 Windsor Knights (29-1), led by Marquise Jackson with 25 points and Jai’kez Mann with 22 points, captured their second GISA ‘AA’ State Basketball Championship in the last three years by beating Furtah Prep by the score of 52-31 at Mercer University’s Hawkins Arena in Macon, GA.
Windsor stopped Solid Rock 66-48, slipped past Flint River 67-66 in overtime and beat Ga Christian 78-46 to move into the GISA ‘AA’ State Basketball Championship.
