VARSITY FOOTBALL SCORELINE: KNIGHTS 34, PINECREST PALADINS 14
The Windsor Knights (2-0) whipped GISA AAA Pinecrest Paladins by the score of 34-14. Last week, the Knights welcomed Flint River to GISA AA with a 20-14 season opening win at Knight Field. In pre-season, Mount de Sales of Macon scored a touchdown in the final minutes to break open a close scrimmage game by the score of 24-12 at Knight Field. WINDSOR'S THOMAS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PEOPLE TO PEOPLE WORLD LEADERSHIP FORUM
Gregory Thomas Jr., a 7th grade student at Windsor, has been recommended and has accepted to participate as a member of the People to People World Leadership Forum in Washington, DC this fall. Gregory will be the only Georgia delegate attending his specific session. The program helps to develop leadership skills among America's youth while exploring defining moments in American history. The week-long experience includes visits to Capitol Hill, Gettysburg, and Colonial Williamsburg. PARENT-TEACHER ROUNDTABLE (PTR) ANNOUNCES ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DRIVE, OFFICERS
Windsor's Parent-Teacher Roundtable (PTR) is a committee of parents, grandparents, teachers that work to increase communication, recognize teachers and staff, and support academic programs. Membership dues for the 2008-2009 year will be $15 per family. Grandparents can join for just $5. WAK desk bags will also be on sale for $15. Last year's PTR accomplishments included scholarships, playground equipment, teacher supplies, classroom makeovers (wait til you see the Art classroom), painting, and purchase of 10 computers. New PTR Committee Members and Officers are posted under the PTR tab. Join the Knights of the Roundtable!

VARSITY REGION SOFTBALL SCORELINE UPDATE - SOUTHLAND 3, LADY KNIGHTS 1 (9 INNINGS)
The Windsor Lady Knights (2-4,1-0) lost 3-1 in nine innings against the Southland Lady Raiders. The JV Varsity also lost to Southland 4-1. The Lady Knights shut out the Tiftarea Lady Panthers in a region contest by the score of 1-0. The JV Lady Knights lost to Tiftarea in an earlier contest. Last week, the Lady Knights lost two games to FPD by the scores of 5-3 and 7-1. The JV Lady Knights settled for a 3-3 tie. Earlier in the season, the Lady Knights shut out the Flint River Lady Wildcats 1-0 at Windsor. Windsor lost to Piedmont 5-3 in Monticello. The MDS game was cancelled due to Tropical Storm Fay.

WINDSOR BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECT CHAIRMAN AND VICE CHAIRMAN FOR 2008-2009
The Windsor Board of Directors elected Walt Sconyers as Chairman of the Board for 2008-2009. Charles Brooks Jr. was elected Vice Chairman and Angela Hardy as Secretary. Rob Dittman and Ricky Coleman were added as Trustees to the Board. The following four members were elected or re-elected to serve five (5) year terms: Charles Brooks Jr., Tommy Busbee, John Fillmore, and Angela Hardy. Craig O'Quinn was appointed to serve the term of Sheree Jones. Congratulations to all!

WINDSOR RELEASES 2008 FOOTBALL SCHEDULE AND MACON TOUCHDOWN CLUB HONORS WINDSOR'S MICHAEL SMALLWOOD: MACON COACH OF THE YEAR!
Windsor's 2008 football schedule will feature six home games and 4 away games. Home games include the following teams: Flint River, Pinecrest, Tattnall Square, Sherwood Christian (Homecoming), Southwest GA, and Central Fellowship (Senior Night). Away games are Colonial Hills, Terrell Academy, Valwood, and Tiftarea.
Windsor Head Football Coach Michael Smallwood was honored at the Macon Touchdown Club on Monday, March 10th as the Macon Coach of the Year. Coach Smallwood led the Knights to a 12-2 record and a State Runner-up finish in GISA AA in 2007. Congrats again!

GISA REGION RECLASSIFICATION NEWS - WINDSOR MOVES TO REGION 3AA FOR 2008-2010
Windsor Academy moves from GISA Region 1AA to 3AA for the next two school years. Windsor will join Sherwood Christian in Albany, Southwest Georgia in Damascus, Tiftarea in Chula, and Valwood in Valdosta for GISA Region 3AA games.
